Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) has been given a stinging spotlight by the media and hailed as some kind of hero to New Yorkers. His ‘leadership’ during this pandemic has been anything but heroic for New Yorkers, or for any American.
Cuomo gave the order for nursing homes to accept Covid-19 patients. Nursing homes are probably the worst place to send a positive patient. In fact, elderly people with medical conditions were just about the only folks to be killed at a high rate by this virus.
Nursing homes weren’t equipped to take care of extremely sick patients, let alone a contagious ‘super-virus’. They didn’t have the appropriate PPE to handle the influx, either. When asked about that situation, that killed thousands, he replied:
“It’s not our job” to provide protective gear to them. Quoth Andrew: “That’s life!”
Cuomo also took this 'opportunity' to double down on his anti-gun position.
Despite the Federal government defining all aspects of the firearm industry, from manufacture to retail, as “essential” business, Cuomo has kept New York’s firearms commerce shut down.
According to The Truth About Guns, Cuomo even turned down an offer from Remington Arms to produce PPE for the crisis in New York.
Does he hate guns that much? People in his state were dying. Medical professionals didn't have enough PPE and neither did the nursing homes he forced to take positive Covid-19 patients. Yet, he declined the offer?
Imagine hailing this man as a hero.
